Okehampton from Dartmoor

Dartmoor Life is an independent, self-supporting museum and so in order to meet its running costs there is a charge for admission.

Dartmoor Life is a bright, nostalgic, attractive place to visit. Here you can discover what has happened to the Dartmoor environment over time and see how Dartmoor people have made a living and changed Dartmoor in doing so. See also how they have lived at home. You may even recognise your grandparents’ kitchen and living room, but not necessarily the prices they had to pay for things in their time.
