‘. . . a superb place to learn!’

SUPERVISION and SAFETY

The site can accommodate up to 45 pupils and helpers comfortably. The museum requires at least one adult for every 15 pupils. Pupils must be supervised at all times. Pupils need to be divided into 3 groups. Each group can then comfortably work on one of the three floors. The groups can then rotate. Visits by individual older pupils are welcome but we ask that the museum be notified in advance and that the pupil brings with him/her a letter of authority from a teacher.

SPECIAL NEEDS
There is a lift giving wheelchair access, but it would help if we were advised before the visit. Please advise us of any special needs when making a booking. Parking for a minibus can be made available with sufficient warning.

TOILETS and LUNCHES
There is one toilet in the museum courtyard (wheelchair accessible) and public toilets within 200m.
If wet, packed lunches can be eaten within the museum (subject to availability of the room). In good weather, Simmons Park is a short walk away.

PREPARATORY VISITS. Teachers are welcome to make a free preparatory visit. Please telephone in advance of such a visit.
